Custom Winterfell Bicycle

So, I recently discovered my love of biking, and decided to purchase a road bike to get to and from work. I found a used Redline Conquest Cyclo-X and started cleaning. Then I figured I would take all the components off. From there, It only got worse, as I continued to sand off all the stickers. With the paint already coming off, I figured “why not” and started the undertaking. Here are the results!

Time for a Walk!

I was so happy I had my camera at the ready for this little exchange. Quimby was hanging out in our neighbors driveway and the little foster puppy came over to take him for a walk. Needless to say, they didn’t get very far!

Quimby and the Foster Pup

Is this a joke?

So there is a foster puppy living at my apartment right now, and Quimby isn’t pleased. Not. One. Bit. He doesn’t like her, probably because he’s more of a person, and she’s way more of a dog. She’s really a good dog, and will make a fine addition to anyone’s home. She’s energetic, extremely intelligent, plays fetch for hours on end and knows how to sit! I snapped this photo when she first arrived, and it’s probably worth at least 100 words.

My Dog Cut His Paw Pad… Again

UPDATE:
Watch the Backyard Dog music video.

This has not been a good few weeks for Quimby and I.

Blood in the Jeep after the VetI was outside with him, and he was doing his usual freak out thing, like he always does. I was actually filming him, when out of nowhere he is limping. Then there was blood lots of it. Long story short, I took him to the vet, as the large pad on his front right paw was sliced almost completely in half, and there was no way it was going to heal without stitches.

He was all drugged up for the first week, but once the meds were running low, I came home and found he had got out of his collar and his boot. Of course he had licked his paw clean, which meant licking out the dissolving stitches. That meant another trip to the vet, and another round of surgery. They had me bring him in a few days later to check the wound and re-wrap it. Totally could have wrapped it myself, but they charged $36 for it, despite the fact that my special lady friend had to help them!

I’ve been checking his wound nightly to make sure it’s not bleeding, but last night there was blood. Upon removal of the bandage, the smell was overpowering. Just really, really bad. So he will be going back, I hope it’s nothing.

I’ve written an 80′s hair band parody song called “Backyard Dog” that I will be offering in order to help raise some money to help cover the cost of the bills, which are over $1000 at this time. If you want to help out, you can donate below. Also be sure to watch the hilarious video for backyard dog.

Help Bring Hanah Home!

Share Button

Kari and Carl Wilkes are missing their 5-year-old American Bulldog, Hanah. The dog was sucked out from Kari’s arms as their home came crashing down around them during the tornado that struck in Joplin.

“The storm started rolling in and me, Hannah, and our other dog hid in a hall closet,” said Kari. “The noise was terrible. The house started shaking and disintegrating. The roof went flying off. When the roof went off, it sucked the closet door open. I had my arm around Hanah because she was very scared, and it sucked her right out.”

Why am I posting this here? Well, there’s a chance she could have been adopted and brought to Maine or NH as many dogs from the tornado ended up this way. If you see her, contact the owners at bringhanahhome@gmail.com or founddogjoplin@gmail.com or you can call at 812 327 5876 and spread it around. If she’s up here, lets do all we can to get her reunited with her family!

I hope she makes it home safely.
