He loves people. When you leave the room he cries for you to come back. He hates leaving home, at least for right now anyway. The cats are slowly getting used to him, but he wants to play with them and they aren’t having any of it. He has so much love for everyone. Such a sweet puppy.
Just when I thought I would be unable to find a dog for today, this awesome lab appeared out of nowhere! I forgot to ask his name, but my guess is that it’s either Black Beauty, Sam, or Happy Face.
Met this boy out for a little walk. He was very friendly and well groomed. He was big too. I like his style. I can’t remember if his name was Jack or Jack Jack. Either way…
I ran into this boy at work today. He’s a beautiful Dalmatian who happens to be deaf. He was very photogenic and seemed to sense where I wanted him to look. It’s little reminders like this that help me remember that just because a dog is different, it does not make them any less capable of love and companionship. His name reminded me of the The Royal Tenenbaums.
It’s official. There will be a dog sharing the same dwelling as me beginning this coming Saturday. While I can’t tell you his name yet, as it has not been chosen, I can tell you he was rescued from a shelter and is a lab something mix. I’m sure there will be more to come on this. I will be hosting a poll once he arrives to see what his name should be.

When outside looking for dogs, I run into a lot of really great owners, who have given their animals a loving home. However there are many people that don’t treat their dogs well. It’s important to not support puppy mills that treat dogs worse than you could possibly imagine. I beg anyone who comes to this site to stay away from pet store chains that sell dogs and cats. I won’t go into details on they way that these animals are treated because it’s just to disgusting.
There are thousands of animals that are waiting to be adopted by you if you need to get a pet. Please support your local animal shelters.
Next week I’m planning a visit to Portland’s own famous dog park! Should be lots of opportunities to make new friends!
I’ll be sure to slip one of my cards into his pocket when he’s not looking.
